    Since the year when the mining sector started its activity in Turkey till today, the country’s chrome ore production rose much and took the third place in the world, providing benefits in such areas as stainless still production and development of many other technologies of the modern world. Protecting the environment and being resistant to climatic conditions, these ores are frequently used in many sectors, and led to the development and growth of different sectors ranging from transportation to communication.

    Various ores formed by the alloy structure, subjected to high temperature reduction process, with high melting at the same time, make chrome more durable and shiny, that is why today chrome is used much in the housing and transportation materials, extending their life. All conditions of this structure resistant chromium, provide great benefits in health and economic terms, it's also often used tool of the ore in the metal and steel industry. Most of the ore, mostly processed and covered with a thin layer of chrome in order to prevent damage.

    Chromium is a multifaceted element that can be used in a diversity of ways in the steel and alloy, chemical and refractory industries. Providing hardness of metals, they make them last much longer.

    Being a high temperature resistant ore, chrome is also used for refractory purposes. Refractory chromium is used in the metallurgy, cement, and glass industries to line kilns, furnaces, and reactors that require a lining that can withstand high temperature levels. After shaping split into various sizes, and then being burned, chrome magnesia bricks or so-called refractory bricks, are often used in the protection of electric heaters, insulation and many other elements.

A small percentage of chromium is used to create chromium metal, a nearly 100% chromium product generally used for specialty alloys. High resistance to corrosion and extreme strength make chromium an optimum substance regularly used for plating and metal finishing. Ferrochrome is an alloy made up of 50%-70% chromium and 30-50% iron. The alloy is a product of electric arc melting of iron magnesium chromium oxide, chromite, and chromium ore. All of these chemicals can serve various sectors such as metalwork and ceramics, canning. İt also finds itself in the drilling mud and water purification and large -processing jobs.

    Chrome is widely used in transportation industries in manufacturing armored vehicles such as ships, aircrafts and submamrines. Within the steel industry, the production of stainless steel uses very much of the world`s ferrochrome, making it the largest consumer of the alloy.
